Blockchain is a new technology that offers incredible opportunities for businesses and other organizations. Examples include improved operations and efficiency, new revenue streams, new customer loyalty programs, new fund raising opportunities and many more. Many organizations across the world have started to investigate or leverage this technology to achieve their goals.
This training assumes that the participants are already familiar with the fundamentals of Blockchain and its broad applications. Building upon this basis, the training adopts the point of view of an organization wishing to incorporate Blockchain in its existing activities, or develop new activities relying on Blockchain technology. This topic is addressed in three main parts:
Blockchain technology offers new ways to support inter-organizational processes and collaborations. In this part, we discuss in depth how such processes can be improved and/or innovated with Blockchain and how to identify candiate processes. This part of the training is complemented with insights from the instructor's academic research on Blockchain and Business Process Management.
Many brands are launching NFT initiatives for various reasons that include retaining customers, developing new revenue streams, or demonstrating that they are keeping up with the latest technological advances. As for any product or service, to increase the likelihood of success of NFT initiatives, it is key to design them so as to provide value to the targeted audience. The notion of “value” of NFTs has been essentially seen through the lenses of financial return. However, NFT initiatives can provide other types of values to the targeted audience. This part of the training addresses the question of the value that NFTs can help deliver and how. It is based on the instructor's academic research on the value of NFTs, which presents a framework for the evaluation and design of NFT initiatives.
